How do I know if my release has been validated and is being distributed?

After having rigorously followed all the steps to distribute a track (or an album), which you can find in the article “How to distribute an album or single on the MusicDiffusion platform step by step?“, how to know if your track (or album ) has been validated or is being validated or is being distributed? The first step is to verify that you have finalized your request for the distribution of your track (or album).

For that, after having uploaded your track (or album), put the necessary information etc … then selected the platforms, you arrive at the end of the process. Once the request has been validated, the following message should appear: Congratulations! Your order has been taken into account! If this message does not appear, it means that your request is not finalized, you will have to start again until it works.

The second step is to verify this validation in your album. Go to the album. When your request has been made, on the QC Approval line should appear “Pending“. At this time there is nothing to do but wait. Indeed your request has been passed and your track (or album) is being validated by our technical service. However, if you do not see “Pending” on the QC Approval line and it only appears a “-“, your request has not been finalized. You will then have to go back to the previous step and do whatever is necessary until validation of your request.

Finally, as soon as your track (or album) has been validated by our technical service, it is then deliver to platforms. A date on the QC Approval line of your album (It cames generally 48 hours after you have sent your release to distribution). If you do not have a date that appears after 48 hours, this could mean that there is a problem with your track and that something will have to be corrected to validate the distribution. The technical service will then contact you in the following days to ask you to make changes to validate and send it to the platforms. Obviously if this happens to you, make sure you have set a fairly distant release date because it may not be respected. This is why for any release we advise you to do it well in advance because in case of problems the initial release date may not be respected.

Most errors are detected by our system. However, there may still be errors that can prevent validation of your track. This is most often inaccurate, erroneous or prohibited information, for example on your cover, which our system cannot detect without the assistance of an operator. Please do not add unnecessary mentions which will most often be rejected by the platforms (various logos, logos of social networks, text which can be compared to the promotion “Best album of the year ..” etc .. .). It can also involve adding a “Parental Advisory” logo if you’re selected that your track (or album) contains violent lyrics or other nature.
